Goals and Objectives of the Mobile Application

This project was created for families and professional nannies who are looking for a safe, convenient, and transparent way to organize childcare. The main goal is to make the process of searching, communicating, and booking nannies modern, intuitive, and efficient.

• Optimizing interaction between parents and nannies through a unified digital platform with two interfaces.
• Ensuring transparency and trust through a system of ratings, reviews, and verified profiles.
• Convenient real-time communication before and after booking thanks to the built-in chat.
• Smart booking, including the ability to reschedule or cancel appointments directly in the app.
• Instant status tracking: parents know when the nanny is on the way or has already arrived.

Development Technologies

The platform architecture is built on a client-server model. The client side is installed on users’ devices, and data exchange with the server is carried out through a secure API. Modern frameworks and technologies were used to build the interfaces, ensuring high performance and uninterrupted operation.
The frontend development tools chosen include: Node.js, React Native, HTML5, Material Design, and Human Interface Guidelines technologies. The app was developed for cross-platform operation systems.

Application Features

For Parents:

• Viewing nanny profiles, including experience, reviews, ratings, and verification.
• Detailed child profiles with options to indicate allergies, sleep routines, dietary preferences, etc.
• Secure communication with nannies before and after booking through the built-in chat.
• Online booking with the ability to modify or cancel appointments.
• Real-time tracking of the nanny’s arrival.

For Nannies:

• Registration and creation of a professional profile with the option to add experience and certificates.
• Schedule management, availability updates, and real-time booking reception.
• Collecting reviews and increasing ratings to build client trust.
• Simple tracking of completed jobs and upcoming appointments.

Results of UX/UI Design for the NannyApp Mobile Application

User Research (UX Discovery):

• Conducted interviews with parents and professional nannies to identify key usage scenarios and pinpoint pain points.
• Identified needs: for parents — quickly finding a verified professional; for nannies — convenient booking management and increased profile visibility.
• Created user personas and user journey maps for each role.

Information Architecture:

• Built a clear screen hierarchy for both interfaces (parents and nannies).
• Designed navigation logic based on scenarios: profile registration, viewing reviews, booking, order management, and more.
• Developed wireframes for 30+ key screens (including profiles, calendars, chat, notifications).

UI Design:

• Created a style concept combining warm tones for emotional comfort and modern minimalism for clarity.
• Developed a design system (fonts, colors, iconography, components) that enables flexible product scaling.
• Visually highlighted key features: profiles with reviews, ratings, and verification; real-time chat; booking statuses.
• Added animations to improve user experience: smooth screen transitions and interactive feedback during actions.

Prototyping and Testing:

• Created an interactive prototype in Figma for all major scenarios.
• Conducted usability testing with 7 respondents (3 from each role and one expert designer).
• Received positive feedback — users noted the ease of navigation and pleasant visual design. Made minimal changes to enhance accessibility and task execution speed.

• The interface is clearly segmented for both roles, reducing cognitive load and simplifying interaction.
• Transparent feedback mechanisms (ratings, reviews, statuses) are implemented, increasing user trust and safety.

Project Results

The NannyApp application has been successfully implemented as a modern solution for childcare organization. The platform combines convenience, transparency, and safety for both parties — parents and nannies. It simplifies the hiring process, reduces stress, and enables quick discovery of responsible caregivers with verified experience. Innovative approach, intuitive design, and technical reliability have made NannyApp an essential digital tool in the field of childcare.
